At Just 21, Nana Danquah Adjei Domson Makes History as Ghana’s Youngest Lawyer
From the quiet town of Breman Asikuma in Ghana’s Central Region emerges a story that is both remarkable and inspiring. Nana Danquah Adjei Domson, Esq., has achieved what many only dream of being called to the Ghana Bar at just 21 years old, making him the youngest person in the nation’s history to do so.
Born on April 12, 2004, Nana Danquah’s path has been defined by discipline, brilliance, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. He began his education at Breman Asikuma Colonel Baidoo Basic School, where he completed basic school at the age of 12, far ahead of his peers.
He continued at Breman Asikuma Senior High School, later transferring to Life International College in Tema. There, he completed his secondary education at the impressive age of 15.
In 2019, while many of his mates were still in high school, Nana Danquah secured admission to the University of Cape Coast’s Faculty of Law. With focus and determination, he pursued his studies with distinction and graduated in 2023 with First Class Honours, marking a major milestone in his academic journey.
Afterwards, he gained admission to the Ghana School of Law, Makola, where he underwent two years of intensive legal training. On October 10, 2025, at just 21 years old, he reached the pinnacle of his dream — being officially called to the Bar as a lawyer of the Republic of Ghana.
Prior to his achievement, the record for the youngest lawyer in Ghana was held by Akpene Darko Cobbina, who was called to the Bar in 2019 at age 22, and before that, Sarah Adwoa Safo, who achieved the same feat in 2004 at 22 years and 280 days.
With his historic accomplishment, Nana Danquah Adjei Domson has not only set a new record, but also become a symbol of hope and inspiration for young people across Ghana — a testament that with determination, discipline, and faith, no dream is ever too big or too early to achieve.
